What Is Pranayama?

Pranayama refers to control of breath. It is a breathing exercise and very widely practiced in Yoga. With pranayama, it is possible to control the rhythms of pranic energy and achieve healthy mind & body. Pranayama helps in proper breathing which enables to bring more oxygen to the brain, and to control Prana or the vital life energy. Pranayama is practiced along with Asanas.
